What are Grassroot Organisations?
The most effective solutions often start at the roots, within the community itself. That’s why they’re called grassroots organizations. These groups take a bottom-up approach, meaning the people most affected by an issue are the ones leading the change. They understand the challenges firsthand and work directly to create sustainable solutions. In this short video, we explore what grassroots organizations are, why they matter, how they operate, and the challenges they face. We spoke with Mr. Charles, Executive Director of Kinara, and Pravin, a student at the University of Queensland who completed a three-month internship at Kinara through the Rotary Peace Fellowship, to gain deeper insights into their work and experiences.
